Babysitters Training - 406100

The American Red Cross Babysitter's Training course is fun and fast-paced. It has many hands-on activities, exciting video, role plays, and lively discussions to help its participants learn child-care, first-aid, leadership, and communication skills such as:

* Supervising children and infants.
* Performing basic child-care skills such as diapering, feeding, and dressing.
* Choosing safe, age-appropriate games and toys.
* Handling bedtime and discipline issues.
* Identifying safety hazards and preventing injuries.
* Caring for common injuries such as burns, cuts, and bee stings.
* Communicating effectively with parents.
* Finding and interviewing for babysitting jobs.

As this is a VERY POPULAR COURSE OFFERING - No mix and match between class sessions, may only attend classes signed up for.

Successfully attending class dates and participating in the activities leads to the American Red Cross Babysitters certification at the course end.

Please note: participants must be age 11 on or before the first day of class.

ARC now has digital certificates. Instructor will verify email addresses in class - each participant must have a unique email address. You will receive your cert in a day or two following course completion via email.

ARC- (for Babysitters) Pediatric CPR and First Aid - 406105

Babysitters, take your training to the next level by becoming certified or re-certifying your Child and Infant CPR plus First Aid. This course is a blended learning which means you complete the classwork online then come to our class to practice and polish your skills. After the registration deadline, an email will be sent with a link to the online portion of this course. Plan on spending about 2 hours and 30 minutes on this. You must bring your completion certificate for the online portion to participate in class. Each participant must have their own unique email address.

ARC-Adult+Pediatric CPR/AED/FA - 406115

BLENDED LEARNING


This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Students must bring proof of completion of online program in order to attend the hands-on session. Email link will be sent after the Time Out date.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR PROFESSIONAL RESCUERS CPR


This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use and AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely manner. Learn the critical concepts of high-quality CPR, plus the American Heart Association Chain of Survival. Skills covered are for adults, children, and infants, including: 1 rescuer and two rescuer CPR, bag-mask, rescue breaking, and choking. Program fee includes textbook, pocket mask, supplies, and certification.

AHA now has digital certificates. Instructor will verify your email address in class. You will receive your cert a day or two following course completion.
