Staci Joer's Cooking - 103130

RESTAURANT KNOCK-OFFS FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR
Chinese New Year in 2019 is on Tuesday, February 5. According to the Chinese 12 year animal zodiac cycle, the Chinese year beginning in 2019 is the year of the Pig. Each Chinese zodiac year begins on Chinese New Year's Day. We thought it would be fun this year to bring you a great menu featuring restaurant favorites so you can have your own Chinese New Year celebration! You will sample .. Panda Style Beijing Beef with Chow mein, Panda Style Firecracker Chicken with Fried Rice, and PF Changs style Banana Spring Rolls.

MEATLOAF MADNESS
There's no disputing the power of food to provide consolation in times of stress, and classic meatloaf is no exception! There are very few dishes that combine traditional and innovation the way that meatloaf does. So tonight, you will see Staci create three versions of this family classic for you to bring home to your family. Let them decide which one is their favorite comfort food! Enjoy sampling…Staci's Famous Spicy Bacon wrapped Meatloaf (this meatloaf got my hubby over his hatred of meatloaf after 23 years of marriage--now he asks for it all the time!); Vegetarian Meatloaf (WHAT??? how is this possible); and Turkey Meatloaf Muffins.

ITALIAN NIGHT OUT
Italian food is one of the most popular ethnic foods in America. Italian food has influenced the way Americans eat and has been assimilated into America's culture as no other food. The interest started after WWII when returning soldiers brought with them the desire to eat the delicious foods they had been introduced to while serving in this war-torn nation. Italians focus on the importance of freshness and simplicity using seasonal ingredients of the best quality to create fabulous meals.
Tonight, enjoy some of Staci’s favorites… Italian Beef Spiedini; Aglio, Olio ed Erbe (Pasta with Garlic, Oolive Oil & Herbs); Cauliflower Calabrese; and Torta di Riso (Italian rice pie).

SPRING BRUNCH (this menu is gluten-free)
The thought of putting on a brunch strikes fear in even the most dedicated cook. It seems like a complicated meal that requires you to stay up all night and then get up at the crack of dawn. But that is just not so! This class will show you how to plan and prepare a brunch that will put most "Bed & Breakfasts" to shame. You'll sample these easy, yet elegant foods... Cauliflower Cups with Eggs (and also a recipe for Cauliflower Crust Pizza); Baked Zucchini Fries; Breakfast Salad with Green Goddess Dressing; and Fresh Fruit with Orange Cream.

LATIN FLAVORS
Tonight you will explore some of the tastiest and most popular dishes in Latin American cuisine. You’ll sample…Pork Blanco Verde; Arroz Blanco con Rajas y Panela (White Rice with Chile Strips and Panela Cheese); Mexican Corn; and Tres Leches Cake.

Please note, due to the purchasing of supplies including food products, there will be no credits, transfers or refunds after the "Time Out" date as that is when we confirm our participant count with the instructor. Thank you for understanding.
